Does your dog have arthritis? Is there such a thing as arthritis in dogs? If so, what are the arthritis medications and treatments for dogs? What are the signs of arthritis in dogs?
Several years ago, I owned a Labrador Retriever / Great Dane mix. When he was around 1 year old I noticed that my dog was limping on one of his front legs. I assumed he stepped on something in the yard or something insignificant. But over the next 2 weeks, the limp gradually became worse, to the point where he would not put pressure on his leg at all. When a dog is limping that much, you need to do something about it as soon as possible.
I took him to the vet and was told that my dog has arthritis. I guess I never really thought about it, but I wasn’t even aware that dogs can get arthritis. I was especially surprised that a young dog, still a puppy really, could get arthritis.
You have to admit – there aren’t many smells as distinctive and memorable as cat urine. I remember when I was a child and I had a newspaper delivery route. I would go “collecting” each month at an elderly lady’s house who had dozens of cats, and the cat urine odor was overwhelming in her house. Sadly, her house was condemned a few years later, but I’ll never forget the smell of cat urine overtaking that house (and my nose).
Recently, I brought a new kitten into my home, and I’ve noticed that he’s decided to urinate in a potted plant, using the plant as a cat litter box. This gave me a new mission: find the best way to stop my cat from urinating in my plant. While I was searching, I found that the same tips are also good for keeping the cat from urinating or pooping on carpet and furniture. Here are the top 10 ways I’ve found stop this poor cat behavior.
If you’ve been on this site before, you’ll know that I have 2 Yorkshire Terriers (Yorkies) named Hank and Rex. As I’ve said before, my Yorkies are the best pets I’ve ever owned. I decided to do a little research about this small dog breed and share it with you.
We’ve loaded a new page with a browseable sitemap. It has all the site information and is updated with each new page and post. Sweet!
Dog Training – Learn The Basic Commands
There are many obvious reasons for owners to want a calm, obedient and faithful dog. For one thing, obedient and trained dogs are happier dogs, less likely to get into scuffles with people or other dogs. Many communities require that the dogs living in their neighborhoods be well trained. This is especially true for many breeds thought to have aggression and behavior problems – dog breeds like pit bulls and rottweilers for instance. Smaller dogs like yorkies can be great watch dogs, but they can also be a little overly energetic.
